Today was my first time trying TNR Café for lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised! I've driven by several times but never thought to stop in until today--and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken lunch special, which came with a side of rice and an egg roll. The portion was just right for lunch, and everything was super delicious. The chicken had the perfect balance of crispy and tender, and the sauce was spot on. I also decided to take an order of ribs home for dinner to pair with some veggies I already have. I made that choice because I saw another patron get them, and they looked too good to pass up! Everything came out piping hot and fresh, and the service was excellent. Thumbs up all around! I'll definitely be back.

This restaurant is pretty awesome. I would say the atmosphere is a modern twist on a Chinese restaurant. When I think of Chinese - I think of a quick take out restaurant with no seating. This beautifully designed restaurant is calm yet welcoming. Their food is delicious with a fresh taste. I would compare this to PF Changs with out the chain style food or feeling. Definitely come here if you want a nice meal with family or frien

TNR Cafe was a pretty good Chinese restaurant for the area we were staying in. It's definitely for a western audience but it did serve many classic Chinese dishes. We had the Peking duck, sweet and sour pork, spicy crunchy beef and green beans. I liked all the dishes but the beef was my least favorite. The service was pretty good. Overall, it was a good meal. If you're looking for decent Chinese food in this area of Arlington/DC, this is a good option.

Loved it! Great location and service - staff was very attentive and service was quick. There was a slight delay on our drinks because they had to make more boba, but that just means we had super fresh boba! And it was worth it because the passionfruit green tea was delicious. We also tried the soup dumplings, crispy beef, and lo mein - all of which were amazing. I definitely recommend coming with a group and sharing dishes since I think the portions and menu are more "family style" friendly.

Mapo tofu lunch special was legit! I went for lunch on a weekday so the restaurant wasn't too busy, but it seemed like they get a decent amount of takeout orders. The interior itself is pretty nice and spacious, and the more authentic dishes like the Mapo or Salt & Pepper fish were pretty good. I would've liked the fish to have slightly lighter and crispier batter, but you get a good amount and neither dish had filler veggies. I'd definitely go back!

The ambiance was modern, Chinese and beautiful. The lady who took my order was so nice and offered me a complimentary hot and sour soup at the end! I did ask for it. Lol. This restaurant is located in the Arlington, Virginia courts area. The area seemed hip and had a good vibe on that Thursday evening. I picked up 3 dishes to-go: kung -pao chicken, moo-Shu chicken, and stir fried baby bok-choy. The food was flavorful and delicious. If I live in the area, I can totally see myself being a regular here! I was happy there was good Chinese food in the DC/Virginia area. A win for me.

Overall, I'm very happy with the experience. One of my two dishes came out very salty, and they fixed it. So I'm very happy with the customer service. Is this the best Chinese food in DC metro? No. But it's pretty good, and good enough for Arlington.

Their Taiwanese beef noodle soup is great; cucumber salad is not the spicy kind (more garlic-y and sweet/sour) and very good. Great ambiance! Easy pick up service (ordered on UberEats for self pick up). Well packaged and delicious dishes as usual (they have pineapple fried rice, a unique offering). They are very popular (see my photo of that huge table just for pick up bags). Lots of people dining inside. They prepared my order relatively efficiently (I arrived and waited for a little while, and they brought my bags out). Upon walking in there's a piano! And it's decorated with traditional Chinese characters saying Happy New Year 新年快樂! How jolly! Love all the lanterns and decor. A very nice restaurant.

TNR Cafe has always been one of my top picks in the Courthouse area. It's definitely not your typical Chinese restaurant but sooo much better!!

Wonderful staff and very attentive + quick service! Recommend the wonton soup if you like a mild flavored broth. I added in some Sriracha and cleared the whole bowl. The spring rolls were amazing. Boba was made fresh - but make sure to ask for it sweetened. I ordered a black milk tea w/ boba and it was not sweetened.
